Noto Domus Lab
About Us
Sicilian hilltop village

Noto Domus Lab was created by a group of professionals with international experience in design, project management, finance and real estate, united by a shared idea: bringing structure, quality and long-term vision to property projects in Sicily.

After years spent between Milan, London, Vienna, Zurich and other international environments, we chose to bring that experience to Val di Noto — a territory we deeply know and believe in.

We combine international standards with trusted local expertise, supporting clients across property acquisition, development and project execution — from evaluating opportunities to delivering completed homes

Meet the Team

The people behind Noto Domus Lab

Carmelo Spallino

Real Estate Advisory & Project Oversight

Carmelo brings an investment banking and advisory background to Noto Domus Lab, with experience in complex transactions and highly structured international environments.

After studying at Bocconi University and working between Milan, Zurich and London with UBS and Goldman Sachs, he developed a strong interest in applying the discipline, analytical approach and execution standards of M&A to real estate projects in Sicily.

Today, he focuses on real estate advisory, project coordination, budgeting and strategic oversight.

You are likely to find him between Noto, Milan and London — preferably on a tennis court, discussing real estate opportunities over a gin & tonic, or watching Formula 1 somewhere with questionable Wi-Fi coverage.

Languages spoken: Italian, English, Spanish and Sicilian (still holding on surprisingly well)

Maria Pia Lombardo

Project Design & Engineering Management

Maria Pia combines architectural sensitivity with hands-on project coordination experience, following projects from concept development through to on-site execution.

After graduating in Architectural Engineering and Design from Politecnico di Milano, she worked on international projects between Italy and Austria. After returning to Noto, she contributed to several high-end renovation projects in the area.

With a strong connection to the territory and a deep understanding of Sicilian materials, spaces and building culture, Maria Pia focuses on creating projects that feel contemporary while remaining rooted in local identity.

At Noto Domus Lab, she oversees design direction, project development and site coordination.

You are likely to find her between Sicily and Milan — at an art opening, travelling in search of new design inspiration, or at one of few parties where architects somehow manage to discuss lighting and materials until 2am.

Armando Mauceri

On-Site Coordination & Local Client Representation

Armando brings years of local knowledge, operational experience and trusted relationships across the territory.

Known for his practical approach and ability to navigate complex situations with calm and efficiency, he plays a key role in coordinating local operations and supporting on-site execution.

If something needs to get done in Sicily, Armando probably already knows who to call — and has likely already called them.

You are likely to find him on-site across one of our projects — or at one of the best parties nel Val di Noto.

Languages spoken: Italian and Sicilian (mother tongue officially certified!)

Anna Lekomtseva

Marketing & Client Experience

Anna brings an international background in marketing across luxury hospitality, events and digital platforms, having worked between Moscow, Milan, Dubai and broader European markets for brands including Automobili Lamborghini, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and Amazon.

At Noto Domus Lab, she focuses on marketing, client communications, helping shape how the project is presented both visually and through its content.

Known for her strong interest in art, design and beautifully organised spaces, you are likely to find her between Milan, Sicily and the Côte d'Azur — visiting an exhibition, discovering beautiful spaces, behind a camera, or somewhere with a good view and a new list of ideas.

Languages spoken: Russian, English, and Italian (Sicilian still very much "work in progress")
